What would our sunset look like if it was replaced with other stars? – 11 Photos

During the day the sky appears blue because blue light scatters more easily than any other color of light, however, during sunrise and sunset sunlight passes through more of the Earth’s atmosphere. The result is that light has to bypass more air molecules before reaching our eyes, and what’s left is red, orange, and yellow colors from the color spectrum.

But what would our sunset look like if we replaced the sun with other stars? Martin Vargic with Halcyon Maps has created a series of sunsets where he demonstrated just that. The hottest stars are blue and white while the coolest are red. Also, in each image, Vargic notes each star’s mass compared to our sun in the lower left-hand corner of each picture.
