London will soon have the world’s tallest and longest slide – 5 Photos
The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a 376-foot tall sculpture and observation tower built in London for the 2012 Summer Olympics. Recently a project was approved to install the world’s tallest and longest slide that will stretch a total of 591 feet from the tower’s viewpoint down to the ground. The slide will wrap around the tower a total of five times and then lead into a 164-foot deceleration section to the ground. The slide is set to open in spring 2016 and will cost tourist $8 for the 37-second ride.
